The Janesville Journal wanted to get in on a bit of homecoming fun this week, since the editor is a former Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldog. One of the ways we did that was by interviewing the homecoming court the afternoon before their coronation.
We mainly asked them questions about homecoming. There were as many jokes and laughs as there were answers… okay, maybe 90 percent of it was laughter and jokes. But here’s a look at each member of the homecoming court.
Queen Brielle James
What is your favorite activity, whether it’s sports, music, or club-related?
“Volleyball.”
What is something people may not know about you?
“I’ve moved four times.”
In the spirit of homecoming, what makes you proud to be a JWP Bulldog?
“Seeing everyone bring their spirit throughout homecoming.”
What was your reaction when you found out that you were chosen to be part of the homecoming court?
“I was both thrilled and thankful that I was chosen to be on the court.”
What has been one of your favorite homecoming memories up to this point?
“I would have to say the pepfests have always been my favorite.”
What are you most looking forward to this homecoming week?
“Playing in the homecoming volleyball game and watching the football game on Friday.”
King Caleb Quast
What is your favorite activity, whether it’s sports, music, or club-related?
“I love all the sports I’m in. But if I had to pick one, it’d be football.”
What is something people may not know about you?
“I don’t know…I have two pets.”

“I’m really proud of the football team and how we’ve played so far this season.”
What was your reaction when you found out that you were chosen to be part of the homecoming court?
“I was really excited, and I hope I win.” (He did, in fact, get crowned king.)
What has been one of your favorite homecoming memories up to this point?
“TP’ing our classmate, Daulton Bauer.”
What are you most looking forward to this homecoming week?
“Beating Medford at the homecoming game.”

“Honestly, just hanging out with friends and family at events.”

“I still have a baby blanket.”

“Seeing Aiden Cummins win the pie-eating contest.”

“Seeing Aiden win the pie-eating contest again.”

“I love all sports, but my favorite is football.”

“I can juggle.”

“I like how we support each other and the community with fundraisers.”

“My jaw dropped.” (This may or may not have been a sarcastic statement.)

“Running away from TP’ing someone’s house.”

“TP’ing everyone.”
