There are certain events that every high schooler must face ranging from Homecoming, graduation for the seniors, cram sessions for texts and exams, and so much more. Among those events is a particular one that always serves as a prime opportunity to make plenty of memories with close friends and even potentially a significant other–prom. Prom can be a handful for many who attend it, but overall, the experience of St Clair’s 2024 Prom: A Night Under the Stars proved to be a culmination of friendship and romance as couples and close friends walked down a precarious flight of steps to have their pictures taken in a frenzy.
On another trip around the stage, tomfoolery ensued as those same couples or a combination of best buds or gal pals would pose as secret agents, carry one another on their shoulders, or pose for a selfie of their own. After the official pictures were taken, much of the prom court took to the Commons area and took photos with friends and family as joy and compliments rained down on young women in dazzling dresses and young men looked dapper in their finest threads.
The actual dance was held at Ballard Creek Barn with an after-prom event held late into the night giving many students, especially the seniors, one of their last celebratory moments before graduation brings them into a new world of possibilities. But for now, the kids don’t have to think about diplomas or tassels, they’re just waiting to boogie down on the dance floor.
