With a colorful array and some party music filling the room, the St. Clair PTO put on “Neon Night” on April 19, to an overwhelming show of support. The PTO is in the process of “revamping the organization since COVID” according to President Casey Stori, and Neon Night was a great step in getting families involved in the community.
The PTO started the planning for Neon Night back in January, and Stori noted the group wanted to do a “community event for the school that would include the students and their parents.” The idea of the dance seemed apparent for the group, but the neon theme “really stood out to us,’ stated Stori. Glo-Sticks, face painting & tattoos, games and prizes, and even a cookie creating station all featured prominent neon colors yellow, pink, and lime green. DJ Kyle returned to put on a playlist that featured songs like “YMCA”, “Party in the USA”, and “Shake It Off”, as over 150 children from the K-6 classes put on their best dance moves while enjoying the light show.
The event drew a massive crowd from the St. Clair community and Stori promised a similar event would be held annually as the organization grows. As the school year enters its final stretch, Neon Night gave plenty of families a chance to let loose on the dance floor.
